Hi!
Here's what you need to know about the new monthly I am calling "All New" (I’m open to other names)

It's a place to try out material. The idea is to have a chance to build towards individual projects in a comfortable environment.

You don't have to be working towards something like a solo show, book, comedy hour, etc, but why not? You're great! I asked each of you because whatever the project might be, I want to see it!

It will be the first Thursday of every month at On Task at 7pm. The first one will be April 6th.

You can do whatever you want:
Standup, sketch, storytelling, sexy dancing to Lionel Ritchie b-sides...anything. The only rule is we don't punch down and we don't do material that is unprocessed pain, as that can do harm to an audience. It doesn't all have to be sunshine and rainbows, but all material comes from a "scar not a wound". I know this isn't going to be a problem with any if you lovely folks, but as someone who has had standups scream in my face more than once (oh, open mics!), I always make that clear. The show doesn't have a tech person, so if what you're working on needs that, let's chat about what's possible.

What I’m Asking From You:
I’m asking for a monthly commitment and for you to try your best to get 3 audience members who will pay $10 each (that covers the cost of the venue)

If you can't perform because of illness, work, or a sweet vacation where you get to spend a lot of time sexy dancing to (or for) Lionel Ritchie, no worries. You just need to find someone to replace you who fits the vibe of the show (i.e. will follow the above guidelines).

If at any time you find that a monthly commitment is too much, no worries. Please just tell me as soon as possible and help me find another person who can take over.

The money from the show will pay for the space. Any $ beyond that will be split between us. Honestly, if there's $ there won't be much. I will ask for you to promote the show so we have an audience, but it is not a large space, so the promo won't be too stressful. We'll record the show so you can watch back our footage later.

I'm not picturing this as a group where we give each other notes (unless they are expressly asked for).

Instead, it's cool people sharing a space and a guaranteed deadline to write/perform new or in-process material.

Friends, I am SO excited about this awesome crew of people. Nothing inspires my creativity more than the chance to share an evening with artists whose work I love and who are also rad.

Let me know if you have any questions. -Erin
